On this page you will find an overview of the agency’s schedule so you can know when best to reach us and expect a response for normal adoption business matters. We are a family-oriented agency, so the timing of closures is often in line with school vacations and family needs.
Adoption agencies are highly regulated businesses. A lot of agency time goes to meeting extensive documentation and accountability requirements. Staff training and agency planning are also prioritized. Set times are budgeted for these tasks, as a necessary part of maintaining a viable agency. Closure dates and out of office messages are often to handle these tasks.
Phones are monitored regularly for emergencies throughout the year. Many agency social workers and case managers provide home visits, birth parent services, and consultations during the weekends and evenings, notwithstanding the schedule noted below.

Main Office Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM, extended hours before and after as needed. Friday is an internal administrative day for agency work.
New Year’s Day (January 1), Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (first Monday in September), Thanksgiving week (the fourth week in November), Agency Christmas holiday and planning projects, from the 20th of December until January 2nd.
There can be more limited services during the travel periods for agency core staff for work and/or vacation time. Typically, this is scheduled for two weeks in mid- January, over the school Easter/Spring break, and during a pre-announced period for a few weeks in the summer. However, alternate, back-up staff is available at the agency to assist.
